Medical/Dental Volunteers

If you are a healthcare professional and would like to volunteer with Caring For Miami, then we invite you to join us by taking the first step. Please download the following two documents that are provided to us by the Department of Health, Miami-Dade County.

Document 1

Document 2

By signing and returning these two documents, you will be able to practice worry free. The Department of Health of Miami-Dade County provides liability insurance to all healthcare professionals that:

• Have signed under the working rules of the Department of Health (turned in application and have been approved)

• Are registered with Caring For Miami as a recognized Department of Health volunteer

• Cannot charge for services

Another way for you to volunteer is to serve as an official "Department of Health Volunteer". By serving with us as a DOH Volunteer, you will be able to help qualify clients to receive services provided by the CFM Health Staff. In order to qualify as a DOH Volunteer, you must be trained; it's a 45 minute training.
