Deliver Backpacks to Schools
Did you know that Caring For Miami works with Miami Dade County Public Schools to provide healthy, weekend meal kits to children in Title 1 schools? Every week children are sent home from school with bags filled with meals packed by our very own Caring For Miami volunteers. Two Thursdays a month Caring For Miami mobilizes volunteers to deliver these backpacks to the schools where children have been identified as at risk of going hungry over the weekend.
How to get involved:
When you volunteer to deliver Backpacks to our partner schools you will be responsible for the following:
1. Pick up prepared bags at Caring For Miami office. 8900 SW 168th Street, Palmetto Bay, FL. 33157
2. Drive to your designated school and drop off bags with school administration or designation point person. Obtain signature from school official.
3. Return form to Caring For Miami in person or by scanning it to our office.
