Miami-Dade County has a diverse, multilingual, and multicultural population. More than half of Miami-Dade’s residents were born outside the U.S.. Spanish, English and Creole are the most common languages spoken in our country today.
These residents come for many reasons, but they stay for opportunity — for an open landscape they can help shape and call their own. Caring For Miami provides free English classes to assist residents, immigrants, and citizens who desire to advance their English speaking skills.
For 13 weeks students are immersed in the English language alongside fellow classmates. Each student is assessed and assigned to classes that can help meet them where they are. With classes for Beginners, Intermediates and Advances learning levels there is something for everyone.
