The Caring For Miami Project Smile Program provides free comprehensive dental care to low-income, uninsured individuals in Miami-Dade County. Our aim is to reduce the number of adults with untreated dental disease who are unable to otherwise access the care they need. Through the Project Smile Program, Caring For Miami responds to current community needs to improve access to affordable dental care and provide a dental home to economically disadvantaged individuals who reside in Miami-Dade County.
In addition, Project Smile provides volunteer led Mobile Clinic Events as a tool for local organizations, agencies and churches to serve their community through the provision of free dental care.
When you give to Project Smile you are helping bridge gaps that exist in access to care for low income, uninsured families.
The Project Smile Program supports the mission of Caring For Miami by providing free dental services to the under served, educating patients on the importance of oral health and overall well-being.
Comprehensive Dental Care
We provide patients with comprehensive oral health exams and oral cancer screenings. Our dedicated team of volunteer and employed dental hygienists provide patients with prophylaxis, fluoride application, gross debridement, scaling and root planning, restorations, extractions and Root Canal Treatment.
Oral Health Education
We educate patients on the importance of maintaining good oral health, the correlation between oral health, diabetes and hypertension, and the implications of oral health and chemotherapy treatment for our patients receiving cancer treatment.
