About Me
Mary currently serves as the Outreach Coordinator for Caring for Miami’s Project Smile Program. She was born and raised in Miami, where she graduated from the University of Miami with two degrees, a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Masters in Public Health.
Mary is currently in her third year of dental school at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Her dream is use her background in public health to become a dentist that helps in increasing the access to dental care for low income communities in South Florida. Mary is forever grateful for the opportunity that Caring for Miami gives her in being able to carry out her passion in serving the underserved.
Mary currently lives in Planation, Florida with her African Grey parrot, Lucy. During her spare time, you can find Mary in one of 3 places, either at Hard Rock Stadium cheering for her Miami Hurricanes football team, or on her Boston Whaler boat fishing in the bay, or spending time with her 3 year old niece, Aurora.
