Day in and day out life is full of tasks. We overcommit, overpromise and overextend ourselves in the process. Never realizing by sometimes saying no, we may be saying yes to something else.
People always talk about having a balance in life and without much thought you probably are thinking of that ONE person that has it all together. A mom who is absolutely flawless in the pickup line with hair in a perfectly sleek bun, the latest Lululemon outfit, small accessory of a dog in her designer bag, always early…not a care in the world. Or so you think.
You see, many times, we can look at a person and think we have them figured out, but we’re only viewing a glimpse of what they want us to see. We don’t know whether or not she goes home and cries herself to sleep or if she only made it early because her toddler had a rough night and she thought it best to just have an early start to her day rather than to try to sneak in 20 minutes of sleep.
But, we also don’t know all the sacrifices and NO’s she had to dole out before her YES, her SOMETHING BETTER came. As you read this, realize that there is a plan and purpose for you orchestrated by the One who holds the balance of the world in His hands. If you’re reading this today, I hope God is comforting you in your time of waiting and endless no’s. Knowing it’s all for your good and His glory.
