While we always need a time of rest, it should never be a full season because we miss out on all that we could have gained later on. Just look at Proverbs 6.
“Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest.” Proverbs 6:6-8
Take your break. Take your vacation. Take your REST.
But remember that Summer is a season to work heartily towards those goals that you want to see fruit from in the Fall and Winter. In fact, Proverbs calls us wise when we do this. Be like the ant; so you may have a bountiful harvest in all you do!
